Android App Privacy

Goldify Pro Mobile App Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Goldify Pro app for Android (Goldify: Gold Rate & Converter) collects, how Google AdMob uses your Advertising ID to show ads, who your data is shared with, and how to access or delete it.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

What this policy covers

This policy applies only to the Goldify Pro mobile appdistributed through Google Play. Our website at goldify.pro is governed by a separate policy, because the website serves ads through Google AdSense and uses browser cookies, while the app serves ads through Google AdMob and uses your device's Advertising ID instead.

Goldify Pro is operated by the Goldify Pro team. For any privacy question or request, contact us at gold@goldify.pro.

1. Data the app collects

Information you give us

Account details — your name, email address and a securely hashed password, collected only if you choose to create an account or sign in.
Google Sign-In — if you choose to continue with Google, Google returns your name, email address and Google account ID to us so we can create or match your account. We never receive your Google password, and we ask for no access to any other Google service.
Shop and business records — jewelry inventory, customer entries, sale calculations and similar data you enter into the shop management features. This is stored under your account so it syncs across your devices.
Shop logo image — if you add a logo to a shop, you pick a single image from your device gallery and crop it. Only that one image is uploaded and stored with your shop. The app never browses, scans or uploads the rest of your photo library.
Messages you send us — the content of any support or contact request, plus the email address you send it from.

Collected automatically

Advertising ID — a resettable identifier assigned by Google Play services, used by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads. See section 2.
Device and app information — device model, operating system version, app version and language/region settings, used to render rates correctly and diagnose faults.
IP address — received automatically whenever the app contacts our servers. We use it to apply rate limits, prevent abuse and infer approximate country so we can preselect a currency.

What the app never collects

Device location. The app does not request the ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION or ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permission and cannot read your GPS position.
Contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, call logs, or your broader photo library. Choosing a shop logo accesses only the single image you pick.
Payment card numbers or bank account details. The app does not process payments.

2. Advertising — Google AdMob

The Goldify Pro app is free and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdMob, a Google advertising service, to display ads inside the app. AdMob is the only advertising network in the app.

How AdMob uses your data

Google AdMob collects and processes your device’s Advertising ID, IP address, device type and coarse ad-interaction data (such as which ads were shown, viewed or tapped).
Google uses this data to select ads, cap how often the same ad is repeated, measure ad performance and detect invalid or fraudulent clicks.
Where you have consented, or where local law otherwise permits it, Google may use the Advertising ID to show personalized ads based on inferred interests. Otherwise, ads are non-personalized and selected using only coarse context such as country and app content.
Google acts as an independent data controller for the advertising data it collects. Its handling of that data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy, not by this one.

3. Your advertising choices

Controls available to you

Reset your Advertising ID at any time in Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device. This breaks the link between your device and any interest profile previously built against the old ID.
Turn on "Delete advertising ID" (Android 12 and later) in the same screen. The app will then receive a string of zeros instead of an ID, and ads become non-personalized. The app keeps working normally.
Opt out of ads personalization in Settings → Google → Ads to receive non-personalized ads across all apps on the device.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows a Google-certified consent form on first launch. Your choice there controls whether Google may serve personalized ads. To change that choice afterwards, use your device’s ads controls described above (Settings → Google → Ads).

Opting out of personalized ads does not remove ads from the app — it means the ads you see are chosen without using an interest profile.

4. How we use your data

Purposes

To authenticate you and keep you signed in, and to store the shop records you create so they are available on your devices.
To display live gold rates and run the converter and price calculations you request.
To fund the app through AdMob advertising, as described in section 2.
To fix bugs and monitor the reliability of our servers, using the server-side request logs described in section 6.
To protect the service against abuse, scraping, automated attacks and invalid ad traffic.
To reply to you when you contact our support address.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (running your account and the features you ask for), your consent (personalized advertising in the EEA/UK/CH), and our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and improving the app).

5. Who your data is shared with

We share data with

Google AdMob — for the advertising purposes and data described in section 2.
Our hosting and database providers — who store your account and shop data on our behalf, under contract, and may not use it for their own purposes.
Law enforcement or regulators — only where we are legally required to respond to a valid, binding request.

We never do this

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising outside the AdMob mechanism described above.
We do not share your shop records, customer entries or business data with advertisers, data brokers or any third party.
We do not send you marketing email unless you have separately asked us to.

6. Data retention and deletion

How long we keep data

Account and shop data — kept while your account is active, so your records remain available to you. This includes any shop logo image you uploaded, which is deleted along with the shop or your account.
Support messages — kept for up to 24 months so we have context if you contact us again.
Server and security logs — kept for up to 90 days, then deleted.
Advertising data held by Google — retained according to Google’s own retention schedule, described in Google’s privacy policy.

How to delete your account and data

Email gold@goldify.pro from the address registered to your account, with the subject line “Delete my account”. We will verify the request and permanently erase your account, shop records and associated personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep a limited record. You can also ask us to delete your data without deleting your account. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete data held on our servers.

7. How we protect your data

Safeguards

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes. Nobody at Goldify Pro can read your password.
Sessions use signed, expiring tokens rather than long-lived credentials on the device.
Access to production data is restricted to the small number of people who need it to operate the service.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to

Access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it.
Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Delete your data, as described in section 6.
Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
Object to or restrict processing based on our legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent to personalized advertising at any time using your device’s ads controls (see section 3), without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email gold@goldify.pro. We respond within 30 days and never charge a fee for a first request. Users in the EEA and UK have the right to complain to their local data protection authority; users in California have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

9. Children's privacy

Goldify Pro is a financial reference and business tool intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children, is not enrolled in the Google Play Families programme, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold).

If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email gold@goldify.pro and we will delete it promptly.

10. Android permissions the app uses

Requested

INTERNET — required to fetch live gold rates from our servers and to load ads.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — lets the app detect when you are offline and show cached rates instead of an error.
WAKE_LOCK — declared by the Google Mobile Ads SDK so ad loading can finish reliably. It cannot read any data.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — required by Google Play services so AdMob can access the Advertising ID described in section 2.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below only) — used solely so you can pick and crop a shop logo. On Android 13 and later the system photo picker is used instead, which needs no storage permission.

Not requested

Location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS and call logs are not requested by the app.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes — for example if we add analytics, crash reporting or push notifications. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for any change that materially affects your rights, give notice inside the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised policy.
